Glow Plugs - Short and Long Body |

There are many manufactures of glow plugs all offering a range of cold - hot e.g Novarossi 6-8. They also offer short and long body plugs in the same
temperature range. Is their a difference when using an short or long body if so why?

Short bodied plugs have shorter and hence stronger elements. ie Nova Rossi TF short body plugs are stronget than TC long body plugs.

I assume the short body plugs have a smaller crevice volume so the compression ratio would be higher.
