Dave,
Any idea why they stipulate the use of NiCad batteries only for these servo's? Grahame |

I am BoBo but I can tell you why.
Using NiCd is to make sure that V doesn't drop too much when big current is drawn by servoes. Other kind of battery can be used. The power as well as consumption of servo nowaday is hugh. There are 2 RX battery sockets in some of the receivers to make sure of steady current. I learnt several trick these days. # 2 RX batteries # plug a ~1000uF capaciter into RX # directly power the high consumption servo instead of from the receiver |

Hey guys I know this topic was started over a year ago but i'm now in need of a new throttle servo! Just wanted to see if a year on if anyone has had any
new servos they'd recommend (or old ones for that matter!)? Seems people were recommending the Futaba 9351 + BLS351 + 9402. couldn't workout what was
being recommended from Hi-tec. Would rather it was one of these two brands as i already run Futaba and both are eas to get in the UK.
Cheers |

Phill, what is the reason you consider 9351 and 351 to be your throttle servo? They are not as fast as 9402!

I've started playing with IC cars and there are a growing number of people raving about Savox servos. I've just bought a couple and the quality and
specification look good although I haven't yet installed them in a boat. They claim bullet-proof titanium gears. Check out www.savoxtech.com. I have the SC-1258 but, as I say, can't comment on their reliability.
