I am about to go racing and hope to make the last couple of races of the year in the uk.
Anybody got a second hand transponder they are willing to sell? I will buy a new one, but as I am already on a bit of a budget a second hand one would be perfect. Thanks, Colin Head

Yes I saw these, but are these the type that the MPBA use??
They look about the same price as new ones, so would prefer from the main supplier with some sort of warranty. |

Dear all,
is the MRT PTX transponder (http://www.team-mrt.com/) as reliable as AMBrc transponder(http://www.amb-it.com/ambrc-c-16.html)? Is the MRT booster a good device to work together with both transponders? I do ECO too and the AMBrc is a little too big for small ECO |

MRT system seems to be good and I saw a few using it in the Worlds. Jorg Banaszak for one. I will change to it myself soon. The MRT booster shows an improved
output by about 30% on my transponder tester.

Dave, is it a good idea to use the MRT booster together with MRT PTX transponder?
Transponder tester? How to test? I don't want to put the transponder on the top of the radio hatch but I am fear for losing lap again. My friend said MRT not only clone the AMBrc but also making their own transponder with unique ID now. Is it true? |

You can buy many transponders from MRT with the same id and so its a simple system if you have a lot of boats.

We must send one pcs of AMBrc to MRT in order to clone its ID to the MRT PTX.
Is it the same now? I never have a transponder so that don't have an AMBrc |

Re. MRT transponders. If you want one transponder you don't need to send an AMB transponder because MRT will issue an ID. If you want more than one transponder on the same ID you have to send them an AMB to clone. You do not need the booster when using MRT transponders, there is no advantage.
