I represented CHNHK to vote for "joint" but the result was "split" If I have to vote again I will vote for a "joint WC' again Regarding your idea to split the WC totally, I will vote for abstain I am too far away from Europe. I do not know the whole scene of boating world I will do something for Naviga otherwise

I would like to ease every competitors,who is worried about the 2010 World Chapionship wich take place in Hungary.I didn't participated in the race in Leno,but I haven't heard much good respons about it.We have been organizing copmetitions for 25 years so far and everybody came gladly with their family to these contests.The surroundings and the infrastructure is excelent.The organizing team is professional, consists of FSR racers for many years. The pier,the spectaor teracce and the preparition area has already been in process for the 2009 Open European Championship.The organization of the contest is helped by 10 sportfellow having international referee diplom.We wellcome every good idea,advice of yours to help us to make this World Chapionship a memorable experience for all of us!!

Some key issues: - lapcounting: we plan to have an A and a B system (2 AMBs) to make sure that we have the correct result (I also experienced the troubles with the Leno lapcounting myself, so you can be sure that we have plenty of motivation to do it right) - judges: we have the idea to help their work with 2 cameras at left and right side, that can prove as an evidence in case of discussions. I have to talk to Peter Schaft about this idea, but as we see the video judge in almost every sport by now, maybe it's time for FSR to catch up. - official website + forum: should be ready in a few months, posting all the important info - training lake: solved, we have a good lake not that far away from the racing venue (of course far enough to make sure that we don't have any radio troubles) - length of the event: EC will be 7 or maximum 8 days - O,H,V split or joint: for the EC the decision is still open, for WC the section has a quite straightforward idea about the split version. - nr. of participants: we don't want to run into the problem of having too much or not enough participants. I think for the beginning it will be a maximum of 5+title holder for each nation, than we can have a second deadline and open it up for another 2-3 racers per nation. This is also not decided yet, but right now we think in this direction and Peter seemed to like the idea. So, some basic information for now and be sure that we will keep you up-to-date regularly. Hello HendricX, why do you think we need 15 starters/heat? I know this happens e.g. in Stuttgart, but I just don't think it can happen at a Worlds or Europeans nor in any domestic Hungarian event. A competitor should know (be able to confirm) his position during a race, it is important to know if you can benefit from trying harder or if you can be a little more cautious.

Better have 3 heats with 13 competitors and 2 heats with 12 competitors. You can't do that with 12 entry's on the display. Every heat less .. saves you 20 minutes.
